yo "the birthday party" is a really fucking good song isn't it

 

I think Frail State of Mind is my favourite 1975 song since the EP's.

 

But like all three of those just vibing

 

Capital v dropping the g type shit...wit one of of ‘ these guys. That’s how dope it is.

 

Can't wait to remove this intro and "People" so the album starts with "The End."

The intro and "People" should have been sold on an exclusive 7" for Record Store Day or something.

 

How will you be woken up though?

 

‘Yeah I Know’ definitely has some Radiohead vibes.

 

I like "Guys" much more as a straightforward closer after all the recklessness on this tracklist.

What Should I Say is so awesome and sounds nothing like them. What a wild departure.

 

I’m not comparing them to Radiohead. But this does kind of at least feel like their version of a Kid A type move.

 

"then because she goes" is both perfect and too short. i'm sure i'll value the economy eventually lol

 

It's definitely an odd start put People is way too good to leave off.

 

I really like how the flow is simultaneously scatterbrained & deliberate. It feels a lot like channel surfing, which feels incredibly appropriate for an album called "Notes on a Conditional Form." Opening w/ Greta, then "People," then an interlude fits that vibe perfectly, both because of the urgency & because of the abruptness. And then, it's perfect how, instead of keeping that rate of switching up, it hits a groove of staying on certain channels for a few tracks at a time.

Not done w/ this yet (on "Too Shy"), but my pro-spoiler approach to movies is working for me here, too, lol: I can't wait for "Guys" to end this thing.
