There aren’t any interludes on the second album

I mean...the middle section of that album is MASSIVELY instrumental. Please Be Naked into Lost My Head into Ballad with its intro then the title track soon after. It felt exhausting to me at times.

Okay? Just because there’s one instrumental song and another mostly instrumental song doesn’t mean they’re interludes lol

Are interludes ever really interludes though?!? Really just depends on what you consider and look for in the songs

This. They feel like an interlude to me in the way they slow the pacing.

Sorry you can’t handle basic discourse without needing to insult me

I’m sorry if that’s what it takes to insult you? Basic discourse isn’t spent trying to prove someone wrong and being? Sarcastic? Because? You? Don’t? Agree? Okay? Jesus

I always thought it was interesting that Pretty Venom on the new All Time Low album is labeled as an interlude, when it feels like a fully realized song.

Here for the instrumentals/interludes/songs that don’t have a lot of vocals. Those songs elevate ILIWYS for me and their more experimental songs from the EPs are some of my favourites.

it wasn’t necessarily what initially drew me to them I guess, but it’s become one of my favorite aspects of the band with time. the more instrumental songs on ILIWYS, especially, I feel like I grow to love more and more with each listen. tbh in a way this album almost feels like it’s going to be more of a spiritual successor to ILIWYS to me and that makes me very happy to think about.
imo the self-titled’s flow is kinda disjointed and I don’t like the way they incorporated the interludes all that much personally. I’m biased towards the more developed approach they’ve taken since in that regard.

Totally agree with this. The interludes felt exactly like that, small segments of music to move from one section to the next, without being fully fleshed out songs. Definitely what makes the debut feel more like 3 separate EPs put together, even if it is ridiculously cohesive sonically.

    Sending my love

The interludes on self titled don’t do anything for me at all. The upgrade they received to fuller songs on ILIWYS was much more effective. I’m surprised A Brief Inquiry doesn’t have much but sounds like there are several on Notes.

I love how they change it up with the instrumentals / interludes / ambientMODE. Like someone said it makes it feel like a complete package. I'm buzzing for Notes to leak - quick someone rob a target.

    thank u, next Supporter

Not an All Time Low fan, but I feel the same about Rina Sawayama’s “Fuck This World (Interlude).” It’s not, like, a fully formed pop song in relation to the rest of the album, but it’s over 2 min of satisfying songwriting that doesn’t feel like the intro or outro to something else.

Legit was gonna drop in and post something about that track. That, to me, is the best representation of using an "interlude" to its fullest potential. It separates the album well by not feeling like an underdeveloped track most people would probably skip because of its length.
