The album is only 2 minutes longer than ILIWYS (my personal version that has the how to draw bonus track) and that’s one of my absolute favorite albums so I don’t mind the length

  5. I don't mind the length either but 90 minutes spread out across 22 songs is exhausting. makes it feel like a lot of them might come across as half-baked.

but yeah it's the 1975 they haven't let me down yet and I'm sure I'll adore this.

for most bands I'd definitely agree about 22 tracks being too many but I can't wait to devour 22 new 1975 songs.

Well ones a speech, and at least 3 will be pure pap, prob two instrumentals...etc. in the end it’ll be 14 songs tgaf about.

It’s looking that way sans people. Not a single bop or banger yet.

I block this clown then unblock him because I see people talking about his posts and I'm immediately reminded of why I should keep him blocked lmao

I do find it funny how long this roll out has felt because if they announced the album and release date for the first time today, we would have all thought “oh wow so soon after a brief inquiry! how cool!”

It's very amusing because A Brief Inquiry has been out for only less than a year and a half still

They had a song that was at one point titled "It's More That I'm Bored Than I Actually Want To Kill Myself (Or Something)". It would make sense that a song like that would be called "Don't Worry" instead.

  17. 120 minutes?

So basically I will have to listen to this album as two separate ones since there's no way can I get through that much in one sitting. Haha. Fucking 1975...

The album is not two hours long lol

  19. one hour 20 minutes. 80 minutes total

I know it stinks for fans, but I understand why they wouldn’t want to put out a record and not be able to tour on it for months. That’ll still probably be the case but, eh I get it. Not a big deal

  23. I never said I wasn't an idiot.

    BUT EVEN STILL!

80 minutes is still way too long for a single album. I'm going to end up knowing the first half of it a lot better than the second half, guaranteed. Kinda like how most of the B sides of my vinyl records are in near mint condition, haha.

Glad you already have your mind made up on an album that hasn't be released yet. Sounds like a good way to approach listening to music

I mean it’s never kept me from enjoying music that’s enjoyable so I’m confident I’ll make it through.
