wouldn’t be the *most* surprising thing in the world if they banged out a few old DLID songs during the recording sessions for Notes and decided to surprise drop them to hold us over till Notes is done.
I don’t get this obsession with re-recording their old music. I’d much rather hear where they’re at in 2020, even if they want it to have the same energy as the music they made 10+ years ago.
I'd be very down for them to revisit those old songs, make them better and add some new songs with that vibe.
Yeah obsession is a bit strong of a word...I think it’d be cool to hear how they reimagine their old material in 2020 as long as it doesn’t come at the expense of new material. So basically - I’m a greedy fucker who wants his cake and to eat it.
I mean, I like those songs and would love to have them readily available on streaming services for convenience. and if they’re updated to be of the production quality we’ve come to expect of this band at this point, then why wouldn’t I want that? if they did re-record those songs, it clearly didn’t do much to impede on the progress of Notes, considering they wrote 22 songs for it and it’s currently being mastered so
I wonder what bands DLID would tour with? It’d be cool to see them with acts like Paramore, Taking Back Sunday, etc.
shootout was never my favourite, but i think it's super interesting when bands revist/reinterpret old stuff would love to see them tour with like... TGUK or MCS
I guess I haven’t to much of that stuff. I remember listening to two or three YouTube tracks and thought: wow good thing they are much better now. Not sure if that’s a great sign lol
