I thought ‘Me’ was like a staple part of their set? Every time I’d seen that after the album released I was lucky enough to see it!
Don't get your hopes up for the US tour. They tend to have more experimental sets in the UK. For A Brief... tour they played Petrichor and kept the instrumentals in for most of the tour.
I feel like Me is in constant rotation during US tours. I would do dirty things to hear Petrichor live though.
I miss hearing I like it when you sleep and please be naked live but that was a “sit down and look at your phone” moment for most of the crowd when I saw them
The Birthday Party has grown on me immensely and is now one of my favorite songs by the band. At first I was super underwhelmed by the lack of a clearly defined hook or traditional song structure, but since I’ve found there are several lines that end up getting stuck in my head and I find myself singing them out loud like all day lol.
The more I come back to this the more I realise that was potentially the worst post I’ve seen on this site holy DAD joke I got played
I’ve seen them four times now and they’ve played Me at three of the shows. Matty loves that song so I doubt it’ll ever become a deep cut, but it does seem that they took a break from it during the Brief Inquiry cycle
I keep listening to The 1975 (NOACF) —>Me & You Together Song in sequential order and I gotta say this band is putting out arguably the best work of their entire careers right now. Frail is a god-tier song and I don’t think I quite realized that until just now
Frail is incredible, one of their most unique as well. Its structure/songwriting reminds a lot of TOOTIME the more I listen
*shrug* what’s a few weeks if the album is better for it but also like eventually you’re gonna have to call it good lol
