Not sure I understand the zany marketing strategy behind what’s supposed to be a ‘quiet, dusky acoustic song’ tho
I don't know what they're strategy is at all with these albums. I think they're having a bit of an identity crisis. The self titled/ILIWYS era's had such a strong sense of style and mood for each album, Music for Cars feels like a bunch of ideas hastily slopped together while somehow even more drawn out.
To be fair that description was before a majority of the album was recorded, the song easily could have changed
I have a feeling a lot of this has to do with Matty's feelings on how music is being consumed. Especially with an album housing 22 songs.
Meaning in terms of sound. This band never had a huge mainstream single outside of Chocolate, which was really only an alternative hit
Not sure if anyone's mentioned it yet, but the source code for that Mindshowers link has a bunch of affirmations in it. I googled a random chunk and it seems to stem from some self help author? 101 Best Louise Hay Affirmations of All Time No clue what it has to do with anything but it's kinda fun.
Yeah, song’s been stuck in my head for days. Not going to listen to the live video again until the album comes out. No wonder they were excited to play it.
I'm avoiding listening to Guys fully because apparently (I think I read this) Matty said it's the final track on the album, but I checked it out a bit and it sounds so lovely. I will, however, be playing Too Shy nonstop until we get this hahaha
