    that original art with the yellow is 1000x better. and it's funny that they say the album is like their early EPs, and then the album starts with "People"... haha

    Anytime an artist says their new music is reminiscent of a specific era of their previous work I tend to ignore them. It never actually sounds like it haha.

    I definitely don't think they ever said it sounds like that era, just that the way they approached the songs and the vibe is similar. I don't expect it to sound like the EPs at all haha

    Yeah, I'm going to feel really dumb about my previous statements concerning the artwork and not buying the vinyl if it turns out the new artwork was a mistake. :facepalm::facepalm:

    I completely agree with that. By no means does the art affect my thoughts and feelings on the music and vice-versa. There are some albums I don't like at all musically that I really enjoy the artwork for.

    I think its ridiculous to expect a band who makes comments like that to actually release music with that sound. Especially if they have changed on a consistent basis.

    I take it more as their writing methods or same head space.


    I think a good example is Taylor Swift writing "Death By a Thousand Cuts." It reminds me of early Taylor because that feeling is the biggest thing in her life in that moment.
