Artwork is terrible. I get they're trying to make a statement here, but the original artwork was much better than this. Also, getting Vampire Weekend vibes, which I ended up replacing the art for in Apple Music last year because it bothered me so much. Glad I held off on the vinyl purchase, cause this is just odd. Still very much excited for the album though!
first of all, some of those covers are dope. Also, most are at least creative swings even if they miss (other than Westimate and that Weezer...). Boot World is pretty unredeemable. It’s ugly and boring.
Waiting for the ‘imagine missing out on this album because of the artwork/imagine caring about artwork...’ kinda posts. Artwork is a big yikes. Look at it. That being said remember NEW MUSIC IN A FEW DAYS. I’m excited as heck for that. 7 singles seems excessive but I guess it’s 21 tracks according to Matty, leaving us with an album the size of their previous records unheard of! That’s wicked news. We essentially have almost a full album to listen to by the time the whole one comes out. Just hope it’s not half instrumental and interlude filler.
I will, in fact, still be buying an album from one of my favorite bands regardless of what is on the cover of the thing that spends most of its time on a shelf.
lol I feel like there are other things to worry about than how much you dislike an album cover, but keep thriving y’all.
Can't wait to hear people complain about the quality of the songs on this album due to the "long rollout," "bad artwork," and feeling "very slapped together and messy." You just know it's coming.
Since they don't wanna use plastic, I'm betting they'll use newspaper paper like how the NOACF cover looked and I think the Boot World cover will be wrapped up in the old NOACF cover.
