I believe that is why. We didn't have any of that for ABIIOR prior to May 2018, and I don't remember any impatience like this. We have known the Notes album title since around June 2018, and it was initially slated to release in May 2019. This is a much longer rollout.
I would gather that's part of the reason. Also, fans who are tuned into the band are recognizing that the "machine" hasn't started up as explicitly as in the past, and there's rumblings of them moving the release date back to late summer/fall. Combined with the statements that NOCF and ABIIOR are supposed to be considered one "era", people have been hyped for this release for a while. Doesn't matter as much to me, and I think people generally are ok with it, but it's understandable if people are mildly frustrated.
I'm betting WW3 will come to fruition, wage on for years, come to an end, and then Notes will come out.
I feel the same, I’m disappointed it’s not coming sooner but I want the best product possible and it’s not a big deal in the scheme of things.
^ I agree. If it hadn’t been hyped as part of a two-record era right off the bat, I don’t think the anxiety concerning its release date would be as high.
Not even remotely. Maybe none at all. Just the occasional "what's been going on with them lately?" inquiry.
I apologize if I missed something I’ve kind of been scanning the thread. Did they officially postpone the Feb release date or is it just speculation?
Also, they’re about to co-headline the Laneway Festival in Australia/NZ with Charli XCX pretty soon... I’m gonna need some Charli/The 1975 crossover content to come from this.
Are they supposed to make a double ABIIOR / NOACF edition release at some point or did I make that up? My wallet is ready to be emptied
Wonder if they’ll have some way of letting people who bought A Brief Inquiry complete their MFC box set without buying the first one again.
