Yeah other bands were..ok. the boys brought it. the 1975 People Give Yourself a Try Tootime Sincerity Robbers I Like America It’s Not Living Somebody Else Love If If W Made It Chocolate Always Wanna Die Sex The Sound I think? night was a blur of positive vibes. Matty was jumping on top of the sleigh they had set up for fans, and singing at them.
Unrelated to NOCAF but I just slowed How To Draw down by 50% and you can definitely hear that those high pitched vocals are definitely Matty just going 'I've not learned / how to draw.' pitched up an octave. Bliss
It’s always a trip going back to the ILIWYS version of How To Draw... it almost sounds like Coldplay or something.
As long as it’s subtle, like this, I can dig it... Country is really not my vibe, but I think I trust The 1975 to do it right, whatever they do. Guitars and garage beats, with a slight kind of country feel? It’s like ok, “take me on those night time drives through the English countryside” type of feel, right...? Not the “take me to Nashville” type of country? I THINK that’s what they were always going for with Notes... but I just hear the sudden, “the album’s kind of going country” now and my immediate reaction is, “Oooo... not sure how I feel about that!” lol
If it’s Faye Webster ‘country’ I’m sold but yeah none of that yeehaw plastic dashboard Jesus bullshit I hope
not sure I woudl quite call that "country version" but regardless of genre, it's a really nice version
Probably just more crazy predictions of how Matty will be found dead in the streets. Haha or some dude from the 70's who says that it doesn't sound like country from the 70's or something.
Lmao hold on...when have they ever sounded like that?! Or is that something he’s now alluding the new album will sound?
