All you 1975 fans onto this Sam Fender guy yet? Great use of sax in this song - thick Newcastle accent too

I pressed play and forgot this was on, thought I was listening to some Brian Fallon-type music

    beautiful and chequered, the end

Can I be grumpy for a second? Can this not just be a thread to post any random British artist with some form of 80s influence in? I still follow this thread cause I’d like to see news on the band + albums, but like.... lets not use this as a general thread?

Hope this is the next track released, Matty seems very proud of it.

Any guesses what "MC" is?... Also, assuming this would confirm (ish) it being the next single.

If this follows the past release patterns this will be THE bop

Probably Mike Crossey. He mixed the last one, assuming he is mixing this one as well.

Y’all will think I’m more stupid than usual when saying this: my fav lyric by them is ‘before you go turn the big light off’ because I always used to say this to my parents (and now do to my gf) as a kid and it makes me think about how cosy and easy life was back then. Just conjures up a calming image for me of a loving relationship and a sleepy person paha. It’s very...human? As daft as that sounds

I respect this opinion so hard. Still my favorite song by them, for the reason you stated. HTD/Petrichor nails the same feeling for me

Driving to the grocery store this morning quick, I was too lazy to get my Bluetooth working so put the radio on our local mainstream rock station which is usbusally pretty lame and they were playing People

I’ve had Paris on repeat for ages and I can’t shake the feeling that the main guitar riff sounds like Every Breath You Take - The Police
