i drove around aimlessly for over an hour the other night and just listened to this album front to back without skipping anything. it was amazing.

 

How so? Obviously I didn't mean to imply I know better than the band or anything, just my opinion.

 

EXACTLY

I did this about a week ago, it was great. super cool to just drive off into the distance and let this surround you

 

I've never understood the drive off and listen to music thing. Maybe because I live in California where gas ain't cheap

 

my car is basically a go kart.....it costs like 15 bucks to fill my tank and it lasts for a while lol

 

alright well its a thing i do /shrug

 

driving around listening to music is literally like meditating for me, it clears my head and it relaxes me and puts me at ease

 

Yeah driving and listening to music is just so relaxing for me. It allows you kind of surround yourself in whatever you're listening too. Especially if the weather is nice and where you're driving is scenic, it just creates a totally cathartic experience.

 

I guess I get the same effect when I go for a run.

 

This is what I do.

 

even when its raining or something if you pick a fitting record for the weather its always a really cathartic time for me, just thinking (or not thinking depending on what im trying to do) and getting lost in albums, and on roads, its just fun for me.

 

Very true. I prefer to stay inside and listen to "rainy day" albums and get the same effect. But I can totally understand driving having the same effect.

 

I loooove driving in the rain with music. Spent many nights last year driving in the rain with Copeland.

 

I say last year, I mean 2014..

 

I'm fine with driving in the rain, I don't trust the others around me though when it's a downpour.

 

depends on how hard the rain is but for the most part driving in the rain isn't anything. but a lot of roads around here flood pretty easily if it rains hard enough so you gotta be careful, especially the back roads i do these drives on

 

My neighborhood can get flooded in as the only street can be flooded on both sides. Only happened once though and I get to miss classes worry free.

So cal roads suck in the rain. So many idiots don't drive with lights on

 

I don't think I've ever gone driving for the sole purpose of listening to music, I'll just go on a walk generally. Driving with music is fun when I'm going somewhere though.

 

As for this album, there's nothing I would cut. I'm not as huge on a few of the songs, but everything fits in really well and I wouldn't feel right removing anything.

 

The more instrumental section in the middle doesn't do much for me, but I can see how others would like it.

 

Loving Someone might be my favorite on the album. I go back to it time and time again.

 

I would be deeply upset if any of these songs were cut.

 

the only song that doesnt feel essential is the title track. everything else has a very important place and context and even then the title track does too i just think its average
