question for people who are enjoying Change of Heart more - do you think the video plays into your increased appreciation?

 

Not really, but I do love the video

 

The video kinda did make me feel more strongly about the song but I already loved it from the get-go.

when that song came out the initial reactions were so negative and I thought y'all were crazy.

 

mine were suuuper positive. I even made the joke about how everyone would end up having a change of heart. Song is wonderful.

 

I at first really liked the more grandiose sounds but find myself enjoying some of the more simpler songs now. I did that with the S/T too, favorites come in different waves. I'm also right in the middle of spinning this now.

 

Oh man, this is very tryhard and bad

 

I still think my favourite 1975 track is "Menswear". Love the new album though, even though I haven't revisited it in a couple of months.

 

That's quite funny. I do, annoyingly, find myself enjoying that song though.

 

so i listen to 'someone else' once a day, at least. if someone talks during it, i restart it.

 

I find the new album to be a winter album and the self titled one to be a summer album

 

I got to this album super late, as in today. I adore it. It's so lush and full and beautiful and funky and colorful. "If I Believe You", "Paris", and the title track are standouts but really this entire album is a knockout. Gonna be listening to it for a long while.

 

Hate when people call the middle section boring or filler

 

the middle section is great but i actually dont listen to it because it's the part of the album I insist on listening to start to finish and I usually run out of time (most of my music listening takes place commuting)

 

I think "Change of Heart" is like the sad ending to "Robbers". Listen to "Robbers" and then "Change of heart"....you might see what I mean.

 

That's a good way to put it. It's not that I dislike them, but I sure don't listen to them a whole lot.

 

There's been so many great albums out this year in so many genres, that sometimes I feel like my listening is just jumping from new release to new release with very few pauses. That being said, this album made a huge impact on me and despite my jumping around, it's probably still my most played of the year thus far.

but I was one of those people who thought the middle was "boring/filler" on my first few listens. Now I can't skip through any of it.

 

The middle portion of the album is still thr best sections to me. If I Believe You through Loving Someone is such an incredible stretch.

 

Anyone know who the actress is in the Change of Heart music video? I can't find anything.

 

Middle section of this album>>>rest of album. It's 15 minutes of bliss, as far as I'm concerned.

 

"Somebody Else" is in this tier of songs I love SO much I won't let myself listen to them very often....just to make sure it feels like a special event when I do hear it.....
