Honestly, see this band live for then first time back in December was such a profound musical moment in my life so far. From the performance, to the set up, the setlist, the light show, even the venue, the aesthetic was amazing and truly breathtaking. I went in as a fan of this band who was only familiar with the S/T and Music For Cars (I bad only listened to the other EPs a couple times). I came out on this crazy high that all I could think about was that show and all I wanted to listen to was this band. I'm still riding that high and I cannot wait to see them again in May.

So I highly encourage anyone who is thinking of catching them on this tour to do so.

  3. Those are the best shows. I feel that way when I leave Noah Gunderson performances.

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

How much of the production is borrowed from the last set and how does it compare seeing it in a bigger venue?

Seeing Noah for the first time (finally) next month. Very excited.

  6. You'll love it. It's such an experience. The harmonies, the strings, the lights... I can't wait for April.

  7. Is there a backtrack playing or does Matty just sound a lot better these days?

I think he just sounds a lot better. I've gone back and seen performances from 2013 and he sounds like he's straining to hit some notes. He would singer higher too than in the record. I think Marty's just gotten more experience though and feels natural now.

The same set up for the songs on the set list from the previous tour, I believe, in terms of backdrop - but totally new installations for new additions. That being said the previous production just feels more refined and brighter. There's also additions including more lights that aren't part of the backdrop, including ceiling lights, drum riser lights, side stage lights and front of stage lights which essentially cover you at moments in the set. These are from the venue I saw them at (in the second one you can also see the light boxes at the sides on the floor which add so much of a dramatic effect/strobe a lot):

The two London venues are about the same size capacity wise it's just they're doing 5 sold out nights at this one this time around and it's a WAY better venue.

Both but he sounds incredible nowadays. The backing track is only momentary and not a constant.

Can't even tell you how psyched I am. If I made a combined top five from 2014 and 2015, both of his records would be on there.

Can't think of that line offhand. I'll give it another couple spins today.

I'm definitely not buying this shit that "Change of Heart" is about Swift

  14. people have been weirdly interested in figuring out who the songs are about. I've seen a bunch of stuff about She's American being about Halsey.....idk where these ideas are coming from

some of the lines in a change of heart almost seem like they're aimed at himself to me.

"paris" is going down as one of my favorite songs of all time. i can't get over it. it means so much to me. im going to associate it with a very specific event and time in my life forever, and i'll always think of how it helped me get through. it hits me like a ton of bricks lyrically, and musically it just takes me to a completely different place as i get lost in the layers upon layers of pure sonic cushioning. it's genius. everything about it, top to bottom, is absolutely perfect. any band in the world would be lucky to write a song half as good and effective as "paris." the 1975 arguably have an album of them.

ive been team paris since like my third or fourth listen when it really started to pop out as an exceptional track, it's a cut above the rest but obviously i love the rest nearly jut as much. it's really hard for me to decide if "paris" or "somebody else" is the best track they've ever written but like i said any band would be envious to be able to write just one song as good as either of those in their entire career. the talent in this band is unreal.
