I think this is the first album of theirs I've made it through in one sitting without skipping haha. Really really enjoying this.

"when we are together" is so beautiful

the vocal melody / delivery to me evokes / reminds me of phoebe

 

I'll give it a few spins, but first impression is a very solid meh. It's definitely got a distinct sound that most of the songs fit to, and there's a lot of repeating vocal refrains and ideas (intentional or not), but unfortunately, that overall sound aesthetic isn't really hitting me yet.

 

On my first listen now, track 1 sounds like a Bleachers song

After a few listens I can say that this is obviously very good but I don’t know if I love it.

 

Just got off work packed a huge bowl and jamming this absurdly loud on my drive home and I’m just so happy

I’m kind of beginning to think that Wintering is the straight up funnest song they’ve ever released.

 

Like, when that Oh Caroline chorus comes on my hips and legs start to gyrate all by themselves, and I’m powerless to stop them

 

Not counting singles the 3 I gravitate towards the most are The 1975, Looking For Somebody To Love, and Oh Caroline

 

If you need a breather from overplaying this, the Wild Pink album from today is a masterpiece
