"We take your mom's car to the edge of the town And we drive, yeah we go 'round and 'round." Such a good nighttime driving song. Honestly thought we'd have more songs like this on Notes, prior to Notes release. Loved I Think There's Something You Should Know, Bagsy Not In Net, and Yeah I Know. Similar vibes.
Totally. Kinda feels like if the instrumentals on s/t had lyrics. Short and sweet but also catchy and the lyrics are great. That song's chorus gives me such MJ vibes.
Was this before the album dropped? That is a hella small looking venue. And it looks like no one knows it.
I still can't believe this is the last band/concert I went to in 2019 before Covid hit. I want them to be my first show once they are back on tour.
Probably agree, though it’s between that and “Sincerity is Scary” for me. Depends on my mood. Today’s probably a “Frail State” day, lol.
Not trying to ignite any arguments here just looking for some information...but didn't these guys have a series of allegations of inappropriate behavior leveled against them?
Yeah there were allegations against Adam Powell one of their directors but someone also came forward saying that there were allegations against 3 of the members of the band and they were in talks with someone over at the BBC for a story about it. This was last summer if I am remembering correctly.
A question like this should never ignite an argument imo. there was a significant allegation regarding a freelance video director that was cause for his removal, but not after the band/dirty hit waited for a more than immaterial amount of time to make a statement. After that there was rumblings on social media levying accusations against several of the band members of inappropriate conduct. There were also rumors that a journalist was investigating, but nothing concrete ever came from this outside of the removal of the director.
If there’s actual allegations sure, I want to know about them. But random accusations with no follow up after a year aren’t helping.
