Unless I drive to Boston or find like a random college radio station that's only active at 11 PM, there is NOTHING but mainstream pop music on the radio in my area. It's depressing. Radio 104.1 played Part of the Band the other night which was shocking, because most of the time they're playing some of the worst music I've ever heard or 90's alt at least in the lead-up to the MCR shows they were playing Black Parade and Sing
Yeah, it's either Imagine Dragons when I turn the car on.. or I unplug my phone when I get home and hear "WOAH OH OH OH NEVER LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE DOWN!"
i've often thought about how great it would be to run my own station and play what I want to finally spread good music in this area lol
I know less than 10 people IRL who would consider themselves fans, and all of them are women. But I also live in Canada, so
That’s our local “alternative” station as well with the dumbest sports talk guy on from 3-6 every weekday
I really don’t understand how local radio hasn’t adapted to the times… it’s all the same stations playing the same tired “classic” tunes that they’ve been playing since the earliest I can remember… about 30 years now. It’s just the same old vibe day after day after day, like I don’t get how people can put up with it. Like who’s paying these stations to physically NOT embrace new culture? lol
Got tickets this morning for the Friday show at the o2 in January, can't wait! At their very fuckin' best
It's kinda crazy when you think how this band has done so much and we're still not a full decade out from the self-titled
I haven't listened to the radio in like 3 years, because my mom doesn't drive me home from school anymore, but I have heard "I'm In Love With You" on the house playlist at a few concerts recently, so that's cool.
I don't even listen to the radio anymore. I tried to the other day and I went right back to spotify. Also, Matty left Kiss 108 and its just not the same anymore. However, Emerson Radio is pretty mint.
secured tickets for the december MN show finally had been putting it off since they seemed readily / widely available but it's payday and I didn't wanna risk it
If anyone comes across a fairly cheap ticket for any of the Boston Shows or even the one in CT, lemme know! I just need one ticket cause I'm a loser and none of my friends even know who The 1975 are.
I have a buddy who works at a company whose pay schedule is once a MONTH. That panic of trying to budget would kill me instantly
