    wrestling tickets: incredibly reasonable still
concert tickets: a huge fucking joke based on a pricing policy invented by the (straight up evil) airline industry

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

How are you guys buying the tickets? Thought that the presale goes live August 8th.

I think it was particularly fun to see him kinda reduce the song to its barest elements, with an acoustic guitar, and reveal underneath all the layering it could basically be a Springsteen song.

Are those platinum tickets? Last time I looked, they'll be around $85+fees for GA floor

After seeing some of the comments on Facebook when the Philly venue posted the tour date and seeing how many people don't know who they are is crazy. They still seem to be relatively unknown to casual music fans yet massive at the same time. It's wild.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong here, but I feel like while they are definitely very popular in some markets and to lots of people, they have not broken through everywhere in the states, like say Dua Lipa has. For example, both Dua and The 1975 released albums right before the pandemic hit and Dua had a few smash hits that kept her momentum going up throughout the pandemic (plus doing things to promote the album too) whereas The 1975 stayed relatively quiet and didn’t do a ton of promotion for the album and didn’t have a smash hit from it. Dua was able to use that success to book a completely stadium only tour but The 1975 just don’t have enough name recognition everywhere, nor that push from their last album (which Dua had), to be able to do that and fill up a 20k cap venue everywhere in the states.

Dua and The 1975 aren’t exactly a comparison I would make haha

Wasn’t she playing like 5k capacity venues before the pandemic? My whole point was just that she made a jump everywhere that The 1975 haven’t made everywhere yet.

She is now but this is the first tour where she broke through in the US, previously she was playing 5k rooms and like House of Blues on her tours before the pandemic hit. That’s what I was referring to.

Dua was definitely a mid-level pop star before “Future Nostalgia.”

I thought she was pretty big after her first album but I’ll take your word because I ever looked into tours or anything.

My point was that they were probably on a similar level popularity wise during that time before the pandemic and she took off and they kind of plateaued. I don’t know all the metrics though so I could be way off base here haha, but that’s how I see it to the person above’s comment about their popularity

dang, this new one hits as '1975 by numbers' and is doing nothing for me. What's my deal...

there's surely gonna be a few cuts off this new record that i love, they always have something that lands hard, but not feeling grabbed by either pre-release so far

I saw dua lipa open for the 1975 in 2016 at the Chicago house of blues Lolla after show, she played five songs and was incredible but was a nobody at the time. Crazy how far she’s come I can’t believe I saw that.

I saw 070 Shake open for The 1975 in 2016 and she was super bad but I absolutely love her last two albums

    Got a light?

I’m gonna have to go to this mysterious Boston venue, feels rare that I can see a band I love so soon after they drop a new project, usually tours are months behind when I’m at my peak listening enjoyment

I haven’t seen them live yet and very much wanting to make that happen. is $100 each for pit reasonable? not sure what Ticketmaster will list with fees
