part of the band sounds like them copying Bon iver etc and happiness sounds like them progressing their sound
That assumes they have one sound though, which is extremely off base from their albums, they've wildly traversed many sounds
It's like The Sound mixed with a classic Whitney Houston vibe. I love how the music sounds but it wish it had a bigger chorus
I love his channel. If someone didn't watch this, or didn't recognize the thumbnail, it's Justin Hawkins - singer for The Darkness. His videos are him reacting to songs - good or bad , and just rambling about music. Rarely too insightful, but just really fun to watch - Justin is really witty and charming. But the 1975 video was extra enjoyable, because you watch him become a 1975 fan literally in real time.
also for contrast, pretty sure i spent $120 on two tickets for the 1975/phoebe msg show that never happened
Concert tickets are so ridiculously overpriced these days, but on the positive side I've noticed that second hand tickets have been plummeting recently. Maybe it's because the resale bubble has burst, or Covid concerns, or simply the current recession has people wanting to save money....but in the last year I've noticed that you're better off just buying tickets on stubhub the week of the show. A lot of the times I get tickets for 50% cheaper.
Haha yep my 2020 MSG tickets were $60 each, and they were pretty good seats too. I'm so bummed that tour never happened. That triple bill was insane.
