Also, there are some gaps in the itinerary that imply more dates could be added later. Perhaps they could be on some Winter Radio Festivals?
There it is and exactly what I feared, a big arena show. I'll have to debate if i want to go. I just don't like the hassle, the acoustics and the vibe of those venues.
I was revisiting some of Notes last night, I kind of let some of the filler/bad memories attached to it cloud my memory of how good some of the singles were on there, I usually don’t like to compare but this just isn’t hitting that level for me but I like the groove of it, not sure I’ll go to the Boston show unless I meet someone who wants to go by then, typically would go alone but in this case doesn’t feel right lol
Honestly, after their last two records I had kind of written this band off. Those albums felt overly long (big time) and full of some half baked songs. These two singles are fucking strong. I'm feeling optimistic. It's a shame Carly is going to come out a week after this and eat their fuckin' lunch
I don't know but I initially read the second name as Jeffree Star and was confused for a brief moment
def get the sentiment here and think you’re making a funny point but being serious for a sec it’s hard for me to tell where Matty/George’s input ends and the input of other producers/mixers they work with begins. so I feel like it’s entirely plausible that someone could like this and not like what Jack comes up with with other collaborators/by himself. I say this as someone who is mostly neutral on him tho, more so on the positive side of neutral. that said I def also find most people’s complaints with him are incredibly overblown and just a consequence of him becoming a more prominent force in the world of music production. he’s far from bad or incompetent at what he does and it’s always funny to see people who clearly have no real experience or understanding or even a slight vocabulary w/r/t production try and paint him as such.
This is a cool band. It’s fun to be following then as they evolve. Not fun to engage in Matty discourse
Zane interview was decent. Most important thing he said was probably that Day 1 fans are gonna eat this record up.
Can someone who’s more musically inclined than I am tell me if this song is in the same key or has the same progression as this song?
Yup! Same key and similar chord progression. Both songs are the Key of B, but The 1975 song goes [B - B - G#m - F#] and the Nightly song goes [E - E - G#m - F#] technically The 1975 changes the last chord of the progression every few bars, but that's the main one
