I don't really think they have any albums that are front-to-back amazing, but the most recent is the most consistent of them all. The best moments of the middle three albums are my favorite music the band has made though
I like about six songs on Notes, which, considering that album's length, is not a good batting average!
I Like It When You Sleep A Brief Inquiry Being Funny in a Foreign Language EP's Notes on a Conditional Form The 1975 My absolute favourite songs are from the EP's and Notes though. I love all of them but the self-titled is easily my least favourite.
ABIIOR ILIWYS BFIAFL NOACF Self Titled (Not to say that Self Titled isn't great, there's just a large gulf between that album and the rest imo)
ST is definitely my least favorite. The rest are all very strong. I think ABIIOR is probably my favorite, then this
I think right now I would say something along the lines of: ILIWYS BFIAFL EPs ABIIOR S/T NOACF The EPs had some kind of sauce that I really can't find anywhere else. I've found myself revisiting those more than a lot of the albums below it.
I listen to my late night version of Notes way more than I’ve ever listened to Notes in the last few years
I’m kinda hoping that for the next album, to keep with the duo parings, it will be a focused album around their electronic influences.
I’d like that too but I think when they were having the conversation of “what the 1975 is” it produced a concept greater than just what BFIAFL is and it’ll inform the next record too
I’ve done that, total waste of time. They have too wide a range of styles and I like different songs based on my mood.
I mean he did say they would do a residency and play their first four albums in full. (IIRC it was said after Brief Inquiry leading up to Notes) I still think it would be a cool thing to do. Have the production from each touring cycle for the respective albums.
