Unfortunately this last tour was my first time seeing them live outside of a festival and I don't recall the festival set up as I wasn't super in to them at the time. I know it may be a while, but excited for whatever is next, whenever it happens.
I was lucky enough to be there in person. Might not be the most expensive vinyl I own, but it’s one i’ll never part with.
I saw them on the first leg of the tour in KC and it was magical. I relapsed the day before the STL show last fall and missed it. I think about it every single day. Maybe things would’ve turned out different had I gone and realized the damage that was about to unfold in my life. Anyway.
Might be because so much of the ATVB/SATVB was spoiled for me, but the first run of shows for ILIWYS is still my favorite stage setup of theirs. The pillar thing was such a level up and so unexpected after the s/t tours were basically just backdrops
Their shows, production and stage set up are so consistently top notch that I buy tickets literally every single time they come to town
the Halloween show in Detroit last year was a cool twist on the SATVB show, with little Halloween decorations everywhere and everyone in costume. As they were coming out at the beginning the lights went out and the Undertaker's music hit for Ross to come in through the crowd in Undertaker costume and I popped. My other favorite Halloween-y touches they did were when Matty was watching the TV, they did a horror movie montage and the Ring girl came out of the TV. Then the naked Matty dummy or whatever on the other stage was under a tarp and twitched when Matty went to touch it and he recoiled. It was a fun Halloween.
Muna and The 1975 would be such a perfect combo. Still gutted the show with Charli, Pale Waves and Phoebe Bridgers I had tickets for was cancelled.
