Frail State of Mind and I Think There’s Something You Should Know are two of my favorite songs from this band. They almost always get play from me whenever I want to listen to this band Other songs from Notes that I go back to outside of the context of the album: People Nothing Revealed / Everything Denied Tonight (I Wish I Was Your Bod) Shiny Collarbone If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know) Having No Head What Should I Say?
I’d say ‘don’t worry’ is the only song I’m never really into. As a whole it’s bloated, but it’s so varied I don’t get bored of it when it’s on for the most part
Frail state is a top five song for me. Back half of Notes is my preference, but it probably is the album that I revisit least for a full listen.
I actually love the packaging of notes personally, dig the minimalism, dig the environmentalism aspect, and I find that it fits the album rather well for whatever reason. I never felt too strongly about the digital cover either really.
Just popping in to say "What Should I Say" is my favorite song to test bass with new headphones/speakers.
Not that I'm in the know of what every band does live, but even looking at the vinyl cover of the 1975 live at madison square garden gets me hyped - that stage show was just simply amazing, and one of the best, if not the best, setups I've ever seen. I went in blind and as it was all coming together, it was just bliss. Add to that a banger of a setlist and it's up there for one of my favorite live experiences.
I REALLY liked when they brought the tilted rectangles out during their 2015 tour. I feel like that whole setup pushed other bands of their size to catch up and add more to their live set up
