He’s literally said that this is performance art, and he’s doing these different types of “rant” while the screen is playing video games to hold your attention like TikTok does. I can’t get worked up about it.

Yes just because he’s apparently being unserious doesn’t mean that it’s still okay to say these things. They still can and do have a harmful effect regardless of the tone.

I don't think many of the fans would bother to defend him if people didn't believe that listening to his music is a reflection of who you are and where you stand on politics, etc...

Granted, that goes for a lot of artists, but ever since the May debacle he has been painted (mostly by his own actions) as a neo-nazi, so that's a double whammy.
