Thought I hit play on a new Bleachers song by accident

I liked Notes a decent amount but this is better than every song on it

 

Great first impression, not what I expected at all but it's great

 

Matty said on BBC that this is their most consistent sounding record and he wanted the first song released to be representative of that, so I think you'll get your wish

This is definitely more Bon Iver inspired than Bleachers. Also Bleachers sucks ass

 

Criterion Collection sale is going on right now. Spent way too much money but I went ahead and got The Seventh Seal. Excited for this music video that’s about to drop, haven’t listened to the song yet.

Btw the vinyl preorder works for America, it’s just completely facilitated through their UK site. My order came to 32 dollars for media mail.

 

Admittedly haven’t really listened to Bleachers in like 5 years but I don’t really hear that in this. Definitely picking up on that softness though that infiltrates some of the other projects Jack has produced recently though, particularly in the drums

Anyway this song is wonderful

 

I'm really enamored with the vocal production on this.

 

Jack Antonoff is a better fit than I expected for them
