no. just missed the boat on making a connection with any of it when it came out & all of it sounds over dramatic or obnoxious to me now.
I don’t feel nearly as strong about that album, lol; I think some of those songs are very fun. But, I get it. Wasn’t really “a fan of the band” until the level up of that second album, and then it trended upward from there.
not liking the first album, bad take but i can mosey on along the thread not liking GYAT? my hands legit fly up like
“Give Yourself a Try” definitely rules, though I’m not surprised some struggle with that guitar, lol.
haha I know, I just tie the ethos of that song to that whole thesis of that era so it's hard to divorce that song from the identity of the band lol
“Sex” is a perfect rock song. I was really hoping for a Drive Like I Do album that would have had more of that.
Does anyone ever talk about "You"? That's the song that got me into them, and the first I heard. And it's still one of my favourite songs from that era. The bridge in that with the "do you wanna dance" is something else. But I never hear it get mentioned, even though songs like Antichrist from that era seem to be loved by the hardcore. "Haunt // Bed" is also up there in terms of that era.
Same here. I might have a couple of pints at the show and then won't need to go until I'm back home. Think its partly from just standing up, but also a lil hint of dehydration too.
"me"? "fallingforyou"? "head.cars.bending"? "so far (it's alright)"???? "undo"????????? "haunt//bed"???????????????? this is just my top 6 1975 songs
Me, Fallingforyou, and You are some of their best songs. I also really like Intro / Set3, Milk, Anobrain, and So Far (It’s Alright). The live version of Head.Cars.Bending is great too.
