i need them to tour again tbh the notes songs need their time to shine live.

live at the 02 is one of the best live albums of all time and i still frequently listen to it. i prefer some of those ILIWYS songs to their album versions.

 

Yeah there are a lot of songs I would love to see from Notes live:

Frail State of Mind
I Think There's Something You Should Know
Nothing Revealed / Everything Denied
Tonight
If You're Too Shy
Having No Head
What Should I Say?

 

Notes had some incredible standout moments and some of my favorite tracks in the discography, but it lacked the cohesion that I really look for from a holistic standpoint. Hopefully this new record is, strangely enough, less all over the place.

 

I don't find myself really feeling immersed in the album until the back half. I find that half to be much more cohesive than the first half where it truly feels like a different musical style practically every song.

 

Heh. Phoebe Bridgers' record company is called the Saddest Factory. I'm reeling at the Problem Attic being a potential album title, just with how they've collaborated live and on album.

I constantly go back and forth on thinking ILIWYS or ABIIOR is their best album. Whatever they have been working on, I am definitely beyond excited for.

I don't even know what I want from this band. Each album has songs I consider to be their best, my favourites. I don't think anything will top ILIWYS because of not only how incredibly quality that record is, but the place and time I was at in my life when it was released. 1975 is one of those bands where I'm not concerned about each new release topping or "beating" the previous one in some sense. I'm trying to let that go for every band, but these guys are so eclectic and talented I'm not worried about whatever they decide to do.

 

I do hope I like this more than their last. I haven't gone back to it since about release.

 

Still hope they continue "The 1975" opener tradition

 

Yep. I'm still hoping we get more songs like "Sex" or the original "Robbers" some day but now I also want more stuff like "Mine" or "Frail State of Mind" or "Me and You Together Song" or a bunch of other shit they've done. They do so many different sounds so well I'm just looking forward to whatever they want to do next.
