So the Taylor Swift setlist got me thinking of this thread as I know we have some HUGE fans in here, but could any of you be constantly vibing through a 44 song 1975 set list? I don't think I love any band that much that I want a concert that long. The last US run of the 1975 tour with about 20 something songs felt perfect... Double that?? Idk if I'd ever want that.

The concert process is a roller coaster for me because I'm always excited when I get tickets, kind of dread going day of, and then have fun at the show but am definitely ready for it to be done by the time it's over. God bless the Swifties and Brucies, but I don't think a three hour show would be for me. Especially if it wasn't seated.

to be fair, Taylor’s show may have had significantly more songs but it was only 45 minutes longer than the 1975 show. Lots of half songs

That's a very good point, I didn't compare the overall times. From the set list for Taylor, it looked like a lot of extended songs, but I now see all the 'shortened' notes too. I can go to a festival and listen to 9 straight hours of music, but the idea of one band, and one vibe (no matter how many genres that band may tap into), on paper, seems like too much to me.

Counter point though, I don't even remember how long the 1975 played for, and I was captivated the whole time, so if it was 2+ hours, maybe I'm wrong and just need to experience it to know.

    Yes, I’ll take a 3-hour The 1975 set please.

I agree. There's such a thing as "too much of a good thing" and I think any setlist over (2) hours qualifies as that for me.

    Maybe so, maybe not.

    Three-hour shows are tight.

I’ve seen Bruce Springsteen a few times and it’s always been incredible and I think his shortest set I’ve seen was like 2.5 hours. If a performer is strong enough to play that long and has enough good stuff in their discography I think it’s a great time. I understand why it wouldn’t be ideal for everyone though.

I got to see him at Gillette in like 2004 or 2005 (seems like a life time ago) and it was soooo good!

Taylor put "About you" on her before she goes on playlist.

Great song from a great EP! Favorite album is probably Monsters, but their whole catalog is great. They’re hitting the stage in a few minutes here

I could literally watch this band play every song in their discog and I would still want more. As long as the venue is 420 friendly it’d be a dream come true to watch them perform for that long lmao
