He likes America, he doesn't like like America. Seeing them at the Marquis in Denver will probably be one of my life's cooler achievements. What that actually says about my life, I choose not to think about.
My TikTok feed has been so many different angles of this set. Made me happy even if I won't ever get to experience that joy.
I’d definitely be thrilled to see all those songs performed again! Man, ALL of their albums at this point just have a way of capturing a specific time…
I should have given it more thought to go over to the UK for this tour. Just seeing them once over there, not playing festivals, would be mindblowing.
That's sick. Was this album play completely out of the blue or did they promote it as a "special" show or something? I'm assuming it happened because it was hometown show or sorts, right?
It was announced earlier this year I think. It was a charity event in conjunction with the Brit Awards happening soon. I don't know enough about their Manchester start so not sure if that specific venue holds a special place in their history.
We (UK fans) knew one was happening - they did the same in 2019 which I was at and they played a LOT of deep cut tracks (Undo, Me, The City, She Way Out) but this being a dedicated self-titled show was not announced at all, people just worked it out from the rectangle and the OG "go down soft sound" version of The 1975 as an intro.
Yeah, Brits week shows which are organised in conjunction with the charity Warchild are basically a series of yearly shows across the UK (usually around 10 shows, all different artists). Lots of them will have big acts in small or special venues, and generally people pay to enter a raffle/competition for a chance to get tickets.
I haven’t ran through this in weeks and holy shit does it sound so so good on this chilly February day. Part of the band was meant for this season. This may be the ultimate 1975 winter album
If it is and you can get one online the evening of, if you set up and send it to a Planet Express address in the UK you can get it shipped over to the US cheaper and with insurance and extra bubble wrap, etc. included. That's what I do but the other way around for any US only vinyl I'm after.
