Funny to think about now but I was an AP lurker from age 14, discovered it from Yellowcard releasing Always Summer
I just turned 39 and let me tell you, I wish I was still 35. I feel like a 78 year old woman sometimes lol.
Is anyone going to the Cardiff show? I would literally sell my soul to see these boys play in the little town my great-grandmother grew up in.
So now that this has been out a few months, where is this rating for most folks? And for someone who really has only connected with this and remembers listening to the self-title where would be the best place to start? Chronological order, work my way backwards, doesn’t matter because their sound changes with each album? Curious to know where the closer rates for most folks. Think that was the first song I really loved on my first few listens of this. Since then most of the album has been added to that category as well (minus a few songs) but the closer was definitely the first one to stand out to me.
I’d go back and start at I love it when you sleep and go forward from there. I love it when you sleep and a brief inquiry are probably tied for my favorite and then this is under those.
I think it's their most consistent since the debut, but I don't like anything on the album as much as my favorite tracks from the last few
Yeah, this album has probably my least amount of skips on any of their albums but the highs don't match the highs of albums 2-4 (not that big a fan of the debut besides the singles)
This is my least favourite 1975 album since their debut. It's nice enough, but nothing really excites me all that much on here tbh.
They’re a band where I really love a handful of songs from each album but would never consider an entire album of theirs a favorite of mine.
80:29 73:55 When someone pointed out to me that there's a 7-minute difference between NOACf and ILYWS it really put it in perspective for me. NOACF feels that long whereas the pacing of ILIWYS is a lot better.
NOACF feels longer because there are more songs and styles across than ILIWYS and sometimes there's a whiplash from one song to another. ILIWYS flows better from start to finish, whereas NOACF takes me out of the experience at times and makes me think about what I'm actively doing.
