I went to last night’s show and it was by far and away the best show I’ve been to in my 300 and whatever shows. I’ve just never seen anything like it. Insane. Also his mum was there front and centre in the seats which was funny.
the finalized version of the MSG show they added to Amazon Video is fantastic. I'm going to watch this every year.
There is nothing I love more than hearing "Oh Caroline" coming from the lab tech area and having to get up and walk in there saying "I didn't know someone else here liked this band" and its my 60 year old lab manager lol.
Saw on reddit a fan complaining that "Oh, Caroline" sounded too much like Talking Heads. did they forget what band they were listening to?
i dont really hear any Talking Heads in Oh Caroline. I'd be curious to know which song or album it reminded them of.
whoever is in charge of the music being played on WBRU in Boston really has a thing for the 1975 because I've heard "Oh Caroline" "Happiness" and "I'm in love with you" on this station since 10am.
Wait, is WBRU back on the air?? Unless a different station bought their call sign, WBRU was my favorite station in Rhode Island growing up. It was an alt rock station by Brown in Providence, but they sold to a Christian rock outlet and went online-only when I was in high school. Haven’t listened to radio since.
I hardly ever listen to radio stations but the guy in the lab has WBRU on all the time and today he's upstairs, so I had no clue they played The 1975 as if it were my own personal playlist, lol.
That radio station was about as formative as anything for my music tastes, so it’s really cool to hear that their favorite bands are still my favorite bands!
I appreciate how often he’s cited Street Hassle for Part of the Band. Always one of my favorite Lou Reed songs.
Exeter got Heart Out last night, leading the Twitter/Reddit fans to believe there might be potential of a 10th anniversary show for S/T.
