Speaking of The Weeknd, I really think Oh Caroline sounds like it could be on one of his last couple albums. I can distinctly picture him singing it

Bit the bullet and bought a ticket to Audacy Music Fest to see them (mainly) next week. I'm excited.

Show last night was perfect. He mentioned that they’re touring in America next year again, and said “see you very soon” at the end

I’m uncomfortable with him smoochin on everyone but I guess if they’re into it ? Ehhh

 

This has become one of my favorite albums of the year, so now I have to look into getting a resale ticket for their Chicago show.

That was my initial impulse too. I think generally it's weird when band members are intimate with fans, because it's exploiting parasocial attachment and infatuation to bypass normal practices of consent and communication.

I guess the difference here, is that it's clearly just a part of the show. Like in both instances the fans were asking to kiss him, and when he did it was just part of the spectacle, I don't think there's a possibility for someone to feel led on.

 

The fan gets picked and heads over to the side. Has a conversation with Matty where (front POV) he asked multiple times if it was ok to do the kiss.

I also saw the fan get handed a cup when he was on the couch but didn’t see if it was actually anything.
