They were amazing tonight. Not sure what anyone could have to complain about in the setlist or the performance.
I find it weird when an audience member makes an assumption that someone on stage is drunk like they know anything about that person
He was constantly swigging from a flask, but I honestly kinda thought it might be a prop because his pitch didn't decline one iota.
First time seeing them last night, setlist was just about everything I could’ve hoped for. Paris and Me & You Together Song were maybe my 2 most hoped-for songs. Always Wanna Die was one of the better live vocals I’ve seen. The crowd basically took over the hook toward the end, and Matty started singing harmony and throwing in loads of random embellishments. Gonna have to find it on YouTube later, that was a highlight. As for the other stuff, I took it at face value when he said halfway through the show something to the effect of “I want you all to know I’m fine. That first part was more of a play, and this is more of a gig.”
Oh I was just in character lol It was pretty fucking awesome he was pretty cooked from somebody else on though
People mostly lol People kept passing out, the incessant vaping, the signs blocking the view, near constant recording, one real asshole bro pushing little girls - just annoying concert stuff. I wanted to experience them up close one more time but I’m too old for all that shit apparently
I didn’t even waste my time looking for a GA ticket for this tour. Just got a seat in the last row of the first section of seats. The theory was that I’d be able to see over the rows in front of me as they rise from front to back and still get a close-ish view of the stage and performance At least here’s hoping
He was drinking all night on stage my guy lol tripping/falling, and he fucked up at least twice on the songs - egregiously so during somebody else where he repeated the second verse instead of the bridge and then realized halfway through and just let the crowd do the lifting
I will say If you’re too shy was an absolute highlight - and better live than I could have even imagined - what a bop
Dude they absolutely KILLED on that song. It's easy to get so used to them being technicians with the backing tracks and such that you can forget how amazing they are as a band with no adornments.
I found the whole thing on instagram this morning. Actual chills, that was probably my favorite part of the show
What’s even crazier is that I can pick a completely different 21 songs and be happy with it. After the tour we should do the 21 song set list they didn’t play that you’d want to see lol
