had tickets for 2020 but then Covid

 

they were my last show before covid. May 2019. Best fucking show ever.

 

happiness is just so good. i could listen to it forever

they were also my last show before Covid in November 2019, which was my fourth time seeing them and the best by far

 

And they played Paris

 

I think they’ve played it every time I’ve seen them besides the first time which was two months before ILIWYS haha

 

I will say the 2016 Chicago house of blues lollapalooza after show with a little known dua lipa opening was phenomenal too but that 2019 show had the best stage production I’ve ever seen

 

I think this will be my seventh show although I've lost track.

Favorites:

2013 @ The Sinclair, my first time seeing them and probably the only time I will see them in a venue that small
2016 in Lowell, MA when they toured with Wolf Alice and Japanese Breakfast
2017 @ Boston Calling, where I found out they are an incredible band to see outside at a festival

 

I was also at the House of Blues Boston show in 2014 where Matty had the breakdown and that was uncomfortable to watch

 

I saw them for the first time in 2016 and not even 3 seconds into the opening for Robbers, I started sobbing. I never thought I'd get to see them do that live let alone my first time.

that's like the time in 2007 when I saw FOB for like the 3rd time and they fucking played Chicago is so two years ago. Literally died.

she wasn’t known at all and only played 5 songs but the crowd got super into it, after that I went home and downloaded all her stuff up to that point which wasn’t much but yeah, amazing show

 

Can't imagine them at the Sinclair, what a treat.

 

Human Too is maybe Matty's best vocal on the whole record some of ya'll are trippin'

 

it's fine but a little boring. definitely the weakest song on here imo.

 

I've been thinking about this a lot and i have to because we've lost so many amazing artists to addiction.

but I can't even imagine my music life without Matty. The thought that we could have lost him and this would have been all over makes me so emotional, even more so after this album dropped last week.

I'm such a sap but this band saved my damn life and I couldn't imagine life without them.

missed them in 2013 because it was a Sunday night and I had work early the next day. I referent that one the most because it’s at one of the best venues in the San Diego area. Also missed them in 2014 because the secondary market was too steep for my liking at that specific venue.

 

Demo version of The 1975 is so fucking cool, also the demo of the outro of that song. The demo that was originally going to be the intro to Brief Inquiry is cool too
