The descending part at the end of All I Need To Hear also has a very similar instrumental gesture to the end of Cancer, I love it

 

That one gets me every time. My relationship with my grandmother was my strongest so losing her five years ago still hurts…

This is a big moment for me, feels like it's gonna go down the same as the other refrains for just a second and then switches. Truly a masterfully written song.

 

The production on Looking For Somebody to Love is bizarre, it sounds like when you have your earbuds in the wrong ears. But that song is a fucking jam. Probably my favorite song on the record

Totally agree. Love this band, but can't stand interviews with Matty. He is a stupid person's idea of a smart person.

i've interviewed matty, imo he's smart and just sometimes talks a lot of shit on his way to a point. he's really great in this podcast btw

I think this might be my favorite "The 1975." I mean very little beats the thrill of hearing the ILIWYS version for the first time but this one feels like a real song that I want to listen to out of context a lot
