Didn't realize how much they use a backing vocal track on their songs

 

Realllly digging those harmonies in Shes American being prominent in this set. I love watching this band live so much I get so amped up and end up watching all their festival performances

 

I feel like these guys still aren’t as big in the states. Don’t get me wrong, they’re definitely a big band, but most people I talk to have never heard of them or any of their most popular songs. To compare to say, Coldplay, in the sense that they were a huge band before Viva la Vida. But during those years of Viva & Mylo, they absolutely exploded and reach new heights of popularity.

That’s where I feel The 1975 are at right now, a “Pre-Viva la Vida” stage, if you will. They’re right on the cusp of absolutely exploding, and the new album is definitely moving them along in that direction.

 

Notes seems like it has the potential to give them the ability to do so. Perfect timing (soon after a critically acclaimed album)

idk, most people i run into IRL have heard of this band, and several ive come across are fans.

Watched that Lollapalooza live show and Matty's vocals sound so soft(?) these days. He's always had a good range but it just sounds like he has more control now. His energy really shows. I may separate the songs into audio files because I love a good live album. Might post it here if anyone wants it also?
