Okay what the hell song am I hearing in Be My Mistake? First thought was We Found Each Other in the Dark

 

I never made that connection while listening, just quoting so I have an excuse to say that's a fucking amazing song

 

It's consistent with what this band does so well, making those common pop elements their own. The main riffs don't match with this and city and colour, so this is driving me nuts. My brain can hear the other song but can't translate it into what I'm thinking of also I've partaken in the devil's lettuce so that's not helping me think either lol

 

I've had I Always Wanna Die stuck in my head for three days straight, mostly the concrete shoes line for some reason. Hands down, my favorite song of theirs.

I did that Sporify Wrapped thing and apparently I dug The Sidekicks more than any other band and I dug that new 5 Seconds of Summer album. The 1975 were my number two.

 

i didn’t listen to any of the singles before the album was out so they weren’t on my spotify list this year and now the album is out it’s too late. sad.

 

Happiness Hours is probably in my top 3 releases of the year.
