Ah, that's tough.

I'd imagine if you make it through 2018 without hearing anything about Radiohead, you'll be alright. They've been around a long time... in this climate, I'd say most established people who are dirtbags have something come out within the year.

 

That's pretty wishful thinking, as nice as it is to have increased visibility on these things, I don't think most things are going to be brought to light sadly

 

Well, I don't doubt that a lot of harassment and abuse won't come out. I think when it comes to the specific circumstances here (30+ years as an extremely well-known band in the entertainment industry, of which Thom was married for most of it) you're more likely to be alright. I'm just saying... I'd love a 1975 tattoo, but given Matty's lyrics that ish ain't happening for a long time compared to Radiohead.

 

Oh in the context of Radiohead then I see what you mean.

Though all the people getting rectangle tattoos...a tiny rectangle is mad easy to cover up/turn into something else. If anything came out that would make you want to get rid of it, it wouldn't be too hard.

 

I would def get this since we both have the same favorite song which is "me"

I have a brand new tattoo. The phrase fight off your demons means more to me than a reference to the band. But the band did save my life. No denying that. So I don't regret it much. The 1975 saved my life in an even bigger way. Matt Healy has proven to not be perfect but I would still get the 1975 ink because of what the band has done for me. I wouldn't be alive if they hadn't written and recorded and released ILIWYS. Straight up no exaggeration. That's worthy of ink. My next ink is gonna be circa survive tho, and the same risk is there sure but again they and Anthony in particular really saved me when I was going through the worst shit imaginable. A living nightmare. Music was the only thing getting me through. I'm probably gonna get a DIIV tattoo for the same exact reasons. I get tattoos for bands that are literally the reason I'm still here. Some hypothetical accusation down the line doesn't take that away and I love tattoos and want to display and pay homage to some of the most important things that have kept me afloat through all the shit I've been through

 

“She’s American” music video never came out. Kinda bummed about that especially after the teaser, but if I’m not mistaken it was dropped for political reasons after the election outcome which is fine by me

 

Gearing up for that BNM on Music For Cars. The 1975's takeover of indie mainstream is coming, just an album later than we thought.

 

Does anyone here listen to The True Blue? A lot of their music reminds of 1975’s style.

Beauty Is in the Street (La beauté est dans la rue) is a 2011 book of posters produced by the Atelier Populaire (Popular Workshop) in support of the May 1968 events in France. It was edited by Johan Kugelberg with Philippe Vermés and published in the United Kingdom by Four Corners Books in 2011.

Matty's cover photo previous to the white out was a pictutre of overturned cars from these same protests.
