When Petrichor kicks in, it’s like “those first couple songs were a cute little preview, now lets REALLY start the fuckin record.”

Life gets better - Even when it's rough, at least you have music to help...that and podcasts have always helped even out those rough patches. Great to hear this album is helping during this time, Self-Titled and ILIWYS were there for me in the same way. If you ever want to talk or swap music suggestions, always feel free to PM me.

Same here but I feel like this has happened for me with every 1975 release. Probably explains why I never feel entirely at home with one of their albums until like a year on.

On an unrelated note, I think my favorite part of this album (and the part that’s been stuck in my head) is the very last verse in Sincerity Is Scary. It’s peak 1975 for me.

  7. it's crazy how always wanna die is the song i didn't realize i needed from them for ever. honestly gonna be up there with Me for me I think

I bet you thought your life would change but you’re sat on a train again
Your memories are sceneries for things you said but never really meant
You build it to a high to say goodbye because you’re not the same as them
But your death it won’t happen to you; it happens to your family and your friends
    I pretend

i really couldnt relate to this any more if i tried

Man, this band would crush a Christmas song if they tried to write one.

Unless I fell down and hit my head on the pavement, pretty sure that song came out in 1966.

Surrounded by Heads and Bodies is so cool, maybe my fav so far. Really pretty song that kind of reminds me of like, From Indian Lakes, but then it takes some cool melodic detours. I'm guessing this is the one that'll get Radiohead comparisons, but I don't listen to or really like Radiohead soooo
