Just finished my first listen. What a wallop of a record.

America is an early favorite. Between this and catching up on 22, A Million, my winter listening is pretty much booked at this point! Sincerity Is Scary is another fav and I guess I just like all of the songs.

Can't wait to fall asleep to this album over and over again.

I got a car appointment early tomorrow (for my schedule at least) and I can't sleep. I keep trying to sedate myself with the promise of getting to listen to this in the car but...I'm too giddy

 

Can definitely sense those Radiohead vibes on surrounded by heads and bodies but it’s more of an in rainbows vibe than anything off ok computer

 

I didn't think I could get any more excited for my pre-order.

Listening with the lyrics in my hand is going to be a treat.

 

Since the Sex EP was released! Feels so weird that this is where we/they are now. I remember scouring the internet to find an mp3 of Chocolate from their days as Talk House, and shortly thereafter the song was everywhere anyone looked. Crazy.

I always feel weird talking about this band/these albums with people. Because they’ve become a part of me, you know? It’s almost impossible for me to remain objective. I feel so strongly about every snare hit, every piano key press, every string pluck. I don’t see myself listening to another album for several weeks at least. I really wanna get like 15 listens under my belt before wall of text lol.

 

I’m going to actually walk into an urban outfitters on Friday to get their exclusive vinyl variant

Yeah I should’ve gone to bed 2 hours ago because I have to teach children in the morning, at this point it’s gonna be a lesson on why the 1975 are the greatest band of our generation

Yeah, it's wild how even after just one listen I'm pretty comfortable putting this in my top 10 of the year. I love bands that can do that.

I think I’ve listened 3 times now. I never do that in one night.

 

It’s not even fair how good I Always Wanna Die Sometimes is. That first verse into chorus is the entire reason I love music. This band is lightyears ahead of their time. I’m so glad I get to enjoy them in real-time.

 

Brockhampton is gonna be high for me. I got a lot of vibes from this album that I did with iridescence
