It’s Not Living is the only song I feel is in a strange spot.

 

the opening synth sound of tootime gives me chills dawg

 

That was perfect. Totally not what I expected, but perfect. Favorite (new) tracks are definitely How To Draw, I Like America, Surrounded By Heads and Bodies, I Couldn't Be More In Love, and I Always Wanna die.

I think I would've liked Be My Mistake more if I didn't know the lyrical content. It's gorgeous, but it's not really relatable at all.

I don't think It's Not Living really feels out of place, I was worried about that going in but I think it breaks up the back half nicely. Plus I can't really think of where else I'd put it.

I Couldn’t Be More In Love is perfect in every single way

 

First listen in and I barely have words

I loved every song tbh, I expected to, but I also did. Yes, Be My Mistake included. I don’t think that’s anywhere near one of their worst songs, none of these tracks are imo. I can’t wait to listen more.

 

I’d move it right before “Inside Your Mind,” or maybe after “Sincerity.” Let the back part really start with “Inside” and then pull you through the rest of those moodier songs.

 

Getting some serious MJ love on some of these dogs, more specifically I Couldn't Be More In Love .

This album definitely feels like a large push forward for them. They’re either going to get a lot of people jumping ship with this one or jumping on board (hopefully the latter because this shit is amazing). I’ve always been a fan of bands that are able to convey atmosphere well, which doesn’t always translate to just adding layers upon layers of instrumentation. This band does that well obviously, but they also do absence of sound tremendously.

 

yeah the transition from ambient into a dance tune is flawless on how to draw/petrichor. they did not let me down on this one i had high hopes. reminds me of the title track and please be naked from last album but executed wayyyyyyy, way better. like astronomically better.

 

Guess I'll have to wait til Friday. This makes me miss Oink for the rest of you old heads

 

is the august rumor for notes really true?

 

I just wish I hadn't have listened to the singles so much. I would definitely be enjoying this listen a bit more. I'm already predisposed to skip ahead of them and what's left is either "inventive" or slow(er) and I keep scanning for new tracks in vein with the songs I love the most from them. I have already listened to HTD and America each 6 times lol

 

I Always Wanna Die is also a perfect song in every way
