As much as I love the typical intro, I would have loved that be the opener. And then have the album close on another one lol

The vibe of this record is what I expected Notes to sound like. So now I really have no clue what that’s going to sound like.

I think my second favorite part of the album is the second half of H2D

Overall I liked this a lot, wouldn't say there were nearly as many as "oh shit" moments as I had with ILIWYS. Part of that was due to me feeling like the sequencing was kinda.... off? Like the songs are there but I didn't feel a "flow" as much as I expected to -- more of a "collection of songs" kinda vibe. Continued listening may change that though.

They reeeeeeally went for it on this record though. Even full well knowing this is a band that's not afraid to take chances, they still found ways to surprise me

Keep listening and look for the musical breaks and why the songs are split up how they are. Once you hear those, the sequencing and cohesiveness comes.

 

In every band that’s tried to rip them off for the past three years albums while this band keeps rocketing ahead of the pack.
