Hey, it's Oasis.

 

There might be (see: most definitely will be) better songs than Be My Mistake on this record, but I liked it a lot on first listen. It does sound pretty weak when sandwiched into between LIIWMI and Sincerity though

 

The percussion on Surrounded gives me a latin vibe

 

I actually haven't listened to Talk! in a really long time - I wonder if my thoughts are different on it now. I use to really dislike it.

Be My Mistake sounds lovely and yes that line is Bad but it didn't ruin it

 

Scared the shit outta me the intro did

 

"A Change of Heart" is pretty bland for me, probably at the bottom of my list

 

I love the songwriting on the back half of the album but MAN did they let the air out of the tires for a long stretch.

 

Yeah, I Like America can fuck.

This is the first time I'm actually listening to any of the pre-release tracks on a good pair of headphones so everything is reeeally doing it for me right now

I think Mine is my least favorite so far excluding the intro.

didn't pick out anything else that bad but maybe when I have them in front of me my impression will change!

 

I guess it's just missing some of the stuff that I learned to love this band for - the 80s bangers with tons of riffs and sax. It's pretty and introspective but I want a bit more energy?
