I think my most-used swear is 'bollocks'. Or prefixing everything with 'bloody'.

 

something i wish was covered more in my college english courses was colloquialisms and slang from around the world. i just love the idea of something being an "irish thing" or "english thing" etc. America has some pretty diverse accents and slangs too i suppose but i just think that stuff is fascinating.

 

Fun fact, the voice of my screen reader reads it as "twot." Where the hell is the disability rights tech movement on properly pronouncing the dirty words?

 

For sure! It's incredible how you can travel across the UK and hear such drastic changes in accents and dialects. It's literally like different languages for every region. I studied a lot of that in Sixth Form (not sure of your equivalent...like High School Plus?) and it's hilarious. Same goes with the US though. I briefly looked into Minnesota's Swedish-American dialect and was just amazed.

 

Sounds like 1975 fans! The bestest.
