Three Michigan listening parties and I can’t make any because of work

How random to have three in MI. Just another excuse for me to trek to Ann Arbor.

 

Boston is the first locale to sell out but no party? Gfy.

 

I noticed that yeah... I’m from MI, don’t live there anymore, and I can’t really put it into words but for some reason I feel like they’re “bigger” in MI for some reason... like where I am now, down south, I just don’t feel like anyone really knows of them or cares maybe, outside of metropolitan areas.

When they were blowing up back in 2013/2014, I knew quite a lot of people who were getting into them too, pretty sure their Pontiac show at The Crofoot sold out twice, or something, and had to be moved to Royal Oak. Think I got early tickets only for like $20-25...

But yeah idk, I feel like they resonate with Michiganders somehow. It’s weird... lots of fond memories driving around at night through the Novi, Farmington, and Troy areas though, listening to their EP’s and debut... sounds crazy lol but I feel like there’s something to it.

I might try and hit the listening party in Orlando.

 

I did all I could to not over play the singles, specifically the last two, and I'm very happy with that decision.

 

I’ve overplayed them but they haven’t gotten stale. That’s a very good sign! Ugh I want this album.

 

I have overplayed the fuck out of give yourself a try and love it if we made it. the other three are somewhat fresh but I’ve still listened a lot.

 

I listened to "It's Not Living" only once. I want a gold star for self control.

 

Likewise, and Sincerity twice now with the video.

 

I have only listened to “Give Yourself a Try” and “Love It If We Made It.”

 

All the singles are on constant rotation

I overplayed "The Sound" and "Love Me" last time and wanted to avoid that.

 

I was a massive fan of the 1975 before ILIWYS but I really was not expecting that album to do what it did for me at the time.

 

Been trying really hard this year not to spoil albums ahead of time. Have been (mostly) successful.
