No in all honesty, my (now defunct) band toured with them back in January and I consider them all friends. That said, I’m pushing this album hard because I genuinely think it’s brilliant, not because they’re my friends— I have a lot of friends that make music that I don’t stan for like this. I really want them to succeed! Believe me, if I felt like the 1975 needed a push on this site, I’d be just as outspoken about them.

Scheduled a dentist appointment on the 30th so I have an excuse to take the day off and jam all day, though I don't doubt we'll hear it before the official release date.

 

There are things on this cheem record that I love and there are things on this cheem record that I hate and there’s basically no in between

 

I completely get that tbh! I would really, really encourage you to give it a couple listens, because that really worked for me; but I know a ton of great music has been coming out recently (and is still to come), so I wouldn’t blame you for not caring to do so.

 

Oh this is getting multiple listens for sure. I feel like I’m getting my ass kicked mentally and I’m gonna need a few more rounds to get a grip on it! This is my first cheem experience but big ups to them for really just going for it

I would absolutely suggest going back and giving Downhill a listen before you listen to a CheemTV again. It kinda contextualizes it a bit?? If that makes sense. I also think it’s probably gonna be more accessible to some folks.
