Does anyone have the Spotify video except not on Spotify? My browser won't let me sign in at the moment for some weird reason.

  2. they're going to play for 3 hours and pale waves are going to open

I don't think this is a result of messiness. This is just typically the kind of shit that happens behind the scenes. The only reason we know about it in this case is cause their team is pretty open with sharing things along the way. Most records go through a billion changes, but most artists are fairly quiet about things until they're set in stone. No big deal IMO

This one hit me on first listen. The other two weren't as immediate as this.. probably cause I like the mix on this one a lot more. Not surprised to find out it was Manny.

This might be my fav at the moment already! Can't stop listening.

I know they’re on Dirty Hit, but does Universal still take care of their distribution?

its a damn great hook in a sleeper kind of way, like you really dont realize how infectious it is until long after the song is finished

my brother called it super easy listening and will probably be an above average song on an album thats already looking like an aoty contender, which is a take id agree with

oh unrelated but a point i wanted to make earlier, i think something that's unique about the 1975 as a band and in their music is the connection they have with their fan base. a lot of bands balk at the idea of making music for the fans as opposed to making music for themselves, but the 1975 strike the balance because making music for their fans is making music for themselves. its like, they dont pander to fans or repeat themselves but it seems like they're always trying to impress their fans and do something they think their fans will love because they think their fans have good taste. you really, really dont see many bands who function like that

I think the love for their fans is also reflected in their setlists. It always appeals to every type of fan

The more I think of it as an electronic dance track, the more I appreciate the minor nuances. Seems like that’s a very common thread throughout each song released so far

all three songs span an extremely wide range of styles but all sound like they're definitely from the same writing/recording sessions. you saw it on ILIWYS but i think you're seeing it even more so here, but they just nail that kind of all encompassing music taste my generation has due to having everything from every genre of the moment at our fingertips from our formative music years on.

and to think we still have the "lounge jazz" track and the "goth love ballad" to come to plus who knows what else !!!!!

This song sounds like select moments from She's American and Iliwys expanded into an entire song. It's awesome, definitely one of my least favorite 1975 songs if not tied for the worst, but they definitely put themselves all out on this. I think this album is going to be their danger days in that the sounds all over the place but when they go for a sound they sell it 100%
