Honestly, if you asked me at the start of the bracket if either of these songs would be facing off in the final I would have called you crazy. With that said, I absolutely love both songs. Tough call but I have to go for...

I like Pool very much, but honestly, why is it here?

I remember pool being very well received here on release so I’m surprised at the surprise. It’s one of the tightest songs on AL and some of hayley’s best lyrics.

That said, BNE is my favorite paramore record and songs like Careful are why, so it gets my vote.

I think its one of the most forgettable tracks on AL
Still stressing that I definitely like it! I meant more that it lost its initial album bracket, so it is questionable that it belongs in the top 2.

 

Personally I love that it’s a bit more reigned in so if you like the more out-there sounds on AL I think that makes sense.

Yea it’s always weird when a runner up comes back, especially if not up against the song that beat it but alas different people/numbers vote every round so who’s to say which is the more accurate representation. I think it was the underoath bracket where a runner up beat its albums victor, that was cool haha

 

I don't know about the Underoath bracket, but in the Silverstein one Smile in Your Sleep didn't win the DTW bracket (Call It Karma did), but it ended up winning the entire thing by beating Call It Karma in the Semifinals.

Yeah I definitely like AL better when its going all out, ie. Hard Times, Caught In The Middle

 

Pool is like, super all out to me. The layers going on in that track are ridiculous. Best guitar tones on the record too. Whole song oddly kinda makes me feel like I’m stoned tbh

I think Pool is one of the catchiest tracks. My most played song of that year. Such a blissful chorus. Either track deserves the win though.

This bracket has been a ride, so many songs winning that I never expected and even though they weren't always my favorite, that definitely made it more fun. Hard round, but Pool is just breathtaking.
