That outro they did for “Turn It Off” on Tour One was very pretty. I also love the “Heart of Glas” snippet they started putting into Hard Times and the Iconique “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” in “Rose Colored Boy.”

 

Yes yes and yes! Thank you for reminding me of that Rose Colored Boy version, absolutely one of the best things they've ever done live imo.

 

How am I supposed to feel about this

 

Man. Didn’t know crushcrushcrush was so divisive. I think the songs that made it big on Riot! (crushcrushcrush, Misery Business, That’s What You Get) are some of their best period, questionable lyrics on MB aside. They’re all jams.

 

Yeah, I suppose it is. I voted for it over Misery as well but still shocked that Flames is totally crushing Misery, no competition!

 

I can definitely agree with this. My defense of crush aside, it’s sfill only middle tier on the album for me. LTFB is hands down my favorite.

What could they even be doing tomorrow? Especially being a Sunday. They were very clear about Art + Friends being the end of the After Laughter era. It really seems too soon for them to start another album cycle. I guess it could be a deluxe version, but idk it would just seem weird I think to add any songs onto AL. It made more sense with S/T since it was already very eclectic and long, but AL feels like a concise statement with a specific style and I don't see them messing with that. And it could be a live album, but it seems kind of soon since they pretty much did that with S/T deluxe.

I've never heard these b-sides, and what the hell how have I never listened to Decoy??? So great. Love that bridge. Really they are all great, I feel the most meh about Rewind. If any of the others were put against We Are Broken, I actually probably would've voted for them instead.

Let the Flames Begin is great, but Misery Business is where it all started for me, and just has so many memories attached, whether it's me rocking out at a karaoke bar, jamming it a party, or just rocking out in the back seat of my parents car in middle school. It's always gonna have a special place in my heart.

That's What You Get vs. crushx3 is really rough. Back when I was a very casual fan, those were two of the ones apart from Misery Business that I really loved, so I go back the farthest with them. But there's just something about That's What You Get. A truly special song if you ask me.
