https://thenerdstash.com/that-90s-show-renewed-for-season-2-at-netflix/ According to this article: Which I think is great, the original series had 22 episode seasons which gave more room for character development and for the show to get its footing. Things like a possible Leia/Gwen relationship could happen more organically.
Hopefully a renewal means the former 70s show stars (Eric, Kelso, Jackie) partake in more episodes ala Cobra Kai.
Finished season 1 finally. It was okay. Wasn’t bad, but wasn’t memorable either. Out of the new cast Gwen is my favorite and from how the season finale went I’m guessing next season will have Leia choosing between Nate and Jay. It’s the jackie situation with hyde/kelso, but it at least feels familiar. Hopefully the older cast have a small recurring role in season two. Was glad to see Leo pop up a couple times.
Anyone else feel uncomfortable about this: The actress who plays Leia is under 18, yet is expected to not only have discussions about, but also enact various sexual themes such as "accidentally touching Jay's area," and "forcefully kiss a mall teenage boy," and "having the talk." I understand that these themes are important to the show, and sure, such themes did happen amongst teenagers in the 90's, but there is something a bit uncomfortable about the actress not being 18 for these scenes, particularly the one where she "accidentally" grabs Jay's crotch. (I don't think she actually did, but the I believe the camera angle was meant to imply that she did.
No, but I did enjoy the 1st part of season 2. Cant wait for the second part later this year. ALSO, did you create this profile just to hop in this thread to say that?
Wow that's awesome! Hopefully it was bummed up for a good reason and not just to get it out there and Netflix cancels it.
